There is a lot of heart in this narrative. I like how you weave between a demonstration of your computer literacy and the story of you and your father working on projects. Closing with a reference to the “residential computer technician” was a nice touch that unified the narrative.
I want to return to the much discussed topic of your keyboard stroke track. I am of the opinion that this was an effective and appropriate track to underscore your narrative. I do think that it could be more effectively deployed. For one thing, I do not think you need to have it run all the way through the narrative. There are certain points when you transition from one topic to the next; at these points, a cessation in the typing track might have worked better. In other words, you could use a more varied and judicious approach, which would enhance the sound contrasts when they do come. For example, it seemed to me that the typing track increased in complexity when you spoke of working with your father–as if two people were typing in concert. However, it seemed so subtle of a shift in comparison with the overall typing track that I missed it the first couple times. Play out your contrasts as a means of signaling the significance of your points.
